BKF is leading a sustained effort to create awareness about the breakthroughs and advancements in the field of Nephrology /Urology.
Our Dr Bapat Memorial Lecture, is an annual awareness event that is held to spread knowledge on the latest developments in the field of Nephrology/Urology. The Memorial Lecture is held to perpetuate the memory of Dr Achyuta Rao Bapat, a brilliant research scientist, at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He was diagnosed with Critical Kidney Disease and ultimately succumbed to renal failure. He was the main reason for the beginning of BKF. The previous Memorial Lecture has been graced by doyens like Dr Sudharshan Ballal, Dr S.C.Ratkal, Dr Girish Nelvigi, Dr Llyod George, Dr Kishore Phadke, Dr Kishore Talwalkar, Dr Renuka,Dr K C Gurudev. Our Dr Bapat Memorial Lecture is conducted in association with Nephrologists Association of Karnataka.
