BKF Chande Nephro Urology Hospital
In 1988 BKF Chande Nephro-Urology Centre, the first super specialty nephro-urology center was built on a BDA CA 6 Site with facilities for dialysis, kidney transplants, inpatients and diagnostic facilities. The low cost centre till 1999 assisted a large number of the kidney patient through free and subsidized charges. From July 1999, the operation and management of the centre was entrusted to NU Trust. BKF is taking steps to take up the operation and management from now on to render service to the Society.

Rangadore Memorial Hospital-2006
In 2004, BKF also prepared a blue print to build a kidney patients home. It was decided to commence this project after the completion of the dialysis center. CKD patients visit Bangalore for treatment from approx. 200Km range of Bangalore.
Often they are burdened by the high rental costs in Bangalore in addition to the cost of dialysis. In the lower economic strata, the hygienic standard of the patients’ accommodation was found to be bad and this impacted the patients’ ability to respond well to treatment.

Rangadore Memorial Hospital-2006
BKF decided to build a state of the art but affordable price dialysis center in its 25th year-2004. A key deliverable of this project was to enable high quality patient care for poor patients in an environment comparable to the best in the world. During the course of discussions the Sringeri Sharada Math entered into an MOU with BKF by which the land for the project was allocated in Basavangudi, Bangalore.
Mr. Binod, Vice President, Infosys, generously donated funds in his father’s memory, towards most of the building and equipment expenses. This center has the latest equipment for dialysis and patient care. The project from conception to commencement of the dialysis center was completed in a record time of 12 months.
Apart from renal health which is administered in this hospital by BKF, the RMH provides affordable patient care in Oncology, ObGyn and Paediatrics.
The RMH hospital is a 100 bed hospital with 4 Operating Theaters and 34 dialysis machines. BKF has plans to make this the largest dialysis center in the world scaling to 100 machines in one location.
