The 10th Dhwani was held on 21 and 22 September 2013 at the JSS Auditorium, Bengaluru. To mark the tenth year, the festival showcased three of the leading names in Hindustani classical music. It opened on 21 September with a vocal concert by Smt. Shubha Mudgal. On Sunday, 22 September, Smt. Ashwini Bhide Deshpande enthralled listeners with morning ragas from 8 am; during a brief interval she received that year’s Pt. Mallikarjun Mansur Award, and her concert continued after the award function. That evening Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt performed on his Mohan Veena from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Dhwani is BKF’s flagship annual fundraiser, held in memory of Pandit Mallikarjun Mansur, the doyen of Hindustani classical music, who was treated at BKF in 1992. Ticket and sponsorship proceeds go directly towards free dialysis for patients who cannot afford it.
