Prevention Camps at Schools:

BKF has commenced Prevention Camps at various schools. Students above 12 years  are checked for protein presence in urine in order to test the functionality of the kidney.

The Bapat Memorial Lecture was held on 23rd Feb 2013 at Rangadore Memorial Hospital. The Bapat Memorial Lecture was delivered by Dr.Kishore D.Phadke, Senior Consulting Paediatric Nephrologist, St.John’s Medical College & Hospital, Bangalore. Dr.Phadke spoke on the topic “My Journey with small kidneys”.



Extremely informative and interesting papers were presented by Dr.Vincent Lloyd, Senior Consultant Nephrologist & Director of Dialysis Services, Narayana Hrudayalaya and Dr.Girish Nelivigi, Associate Professor, Institute of Nepro-Urology. While Dr.Vincent Lloyd spoke on the Topic “Nephrology: The Coming Wares”. Dr.Nelivigi made a video presentation on: ”Renal Transplantation: Evolution of Surgical Techniques”. The Lectures were well attended by medical professionals.

Dr.Bapat Memorial Lecture 2013 was held on 23/02/2013 at Rangadore Memorial Hospital Auditorium, the following Presentations were made :-

"RENAL TRANSPLANTATION: EVOLUTION OF SURGICAL TECHNIQUES" BY Dr. Girish G Nelivigi, Associate Professor of Urology, Institute of Nephro-Urology, Bangalore




Bangalore Kidney Foundation observed the “International Women’s Day” on 8th March 2013 at the RMH. All women patients undergoing dialysis at RMH were given free dialysis on that Day. Arpana Seva Samsthe an NGO from Bangalore also distributed ‘coupons for free dialysis to all women patients’. Each lady patient received two coupons on that Day that would enable to get free dialysis at a later date.


Volunteers from the Kannada Film Industry which included K.S.L.Swamy, Girija Lokesh, B.V.Radha, etc.. visited the dialysis Centre and spoke to the patients.

All of us at the Bangalore Kidney Foundation were delighted to host three-time National Award winning actress L.V. Sharada at the Rangadore Memorial Hospital on the occasion of the Free DIalysis for women program on International Women's Day. The smile on the patients' faces says it all!

The Bangalore Kidney Foundation observed the 68th Indpendence Day at the Dialysis Centre. Veteran Freedom Fighter Shri S.Doreswamy distributed free dialysis coupons and food grains to some of the patients - here are some pictures.








Shri K.S.L. Swamy, renowned Kannada Film producer and director organized a function on 3rd August 2014 at the Palace Grounds to raise funds for the Bangalore Kidney Foundation, Arpana Seva Samsthe, and RMH to benefit poor patients undergoing dialysis.




Dr. S.P. Balasubramanyam inaugurated the show that started with a Veena ensemble by Dr.Suma Sudheendra, Smt.Anuradha Madhusudan. Among those who attended were Shri.Ananthakumar MP, Shri.V.R.Gowrichankar, CEO of Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetham Trust, and other dignitaries. Here is a snapshot from Sunday evening, featuring renowned Kannada film producer and director Shri K.S.L. Swamy in action at the Palace Grounds, raising funds for the Bangalore Kidney Foundation.

Handing over of dialysis m/cs donated by Mahaveer Jain Charitable Trust


Image Mahaveer Jain Charitable Trust has donated 6 dialysis machines to Bangalore Kidney Foundation during March/April 2015. These have been installed in Dialysis Centre at Rangadore Memorial Hospital (RMH).



 A formal inaugural of 6 dialysis machines donated by Mahaveer Jain Charitable Trust was held on 10/04/2015 at Rangadore Memorial Hospital Auditorium. Various donors were felicitated at the function.

Touché Golf Charity Tournament: Fund raising event


Golfing for a Cause: Charity Golf Tournament was held in November 2014 in order to raise funds for BKF activities. Tournament was well attended and received good reviews. BKF is planning to conduct such events every year
