The second Thursday in the month of March is globally observed as “The World Kidney Day”.  BKF too has been observing The World Kidney Day annually. On March 8, 2012 The World Kidney Day was observed by BKF by releasing a public interest booklet entitled “Know Your Liver”.  On March 14, 2013 The World Kidney Day was observed in a unique manner.   Almost all patients who came for dialysis on that day were given free dialysis.  All those who were BKF’s regular donors were invited and felicitated.  They were given certificates of appreciation, & shawl and momento for their support to kidney cause.

Since 2004, BKF has been holding the “Music For A Cause” music festival in the month of September.  Pt. Mallikarjun Mansur, the well known Hindustani classical musician from Karnataka was treated for renal ailment at BKF’s Hospital.  Pt. Mansur after his recovery, decided to perform a concert and donated the proceeds of that concert to BKF as a gesture of gratitude.

The 10th Dhwani – BKF Pt. Mallikarjun Mansur Hindustani Music Festival that was held on the 21st and 22nd September 2013 drew a large number of music lovers and for the first time a morning ragas session was introduced in the format.

Prof. G. Venkatasubbiah, the well known Kannada scholar visited the Dialysis centre on his 100th Birthday.  BKF felicitated Dr. G.V as he is fondly known.

The Members of the Inner Wheel Club of Dist.3190 visited the dialysis Centre and went round and spoke to the patients.  On the occasion Inner Wheel Clubs donated to the kidney cause. A donor has been providing free wholesome snacks for breakfast to 75 dialysis patients everyday and his support is very beneficial to the poor patients. We have also received support from  banks like State Bank of India, State Bank of Mysore, Canara Bank, Vijaya Bank, Corporation Bank  etc. for the dialysis cause. It is also our privilege to express gratitude to the large number of donors without whose generosity the objectives of BKF would not have been met. We avail this opportunity to convey our thanks to our banks who have provided support, the administration staff and the volunteers of BKF.
